NewComm Technologies brings manufacturers and dealers together to provide customer-oriented, creative solutions that meet the needs of the Audio/Visual and Communications industries.
Begun in 1985 as Franklin Communications, the company was bought and renamed by David Francis in 1996. Since then, David has focused steadfastly on refining NewComm’s product lines and improving customer service. David and his staff bring to NewComm more than 100 years of sales and technical experience in the A/V and communications industries.
- David Francis, President, has been in the industry since 1979. He has worked in sales in both the A/V integrator world with a leading Philadelphia-based integration firm, and the LCD projection and display world with Sharp Electronics as a regional sales and area manager. Email David.
- Scott Cizek entered the industry in 1985 and spent 13 years working with a top A/V integrator in the Washington DC area. In 1997 he joined Digital Projection’s sales team as Mid Atlantic Territory Manager. He joined NewComm Technologies in 2001. Email Scott.
- Annie Wiker joined New Comm in 2002 and worked in sales and day-to-day business operations for three years for both NewComm Technologies and NewComm Distributing. In 2005, she became a Sales Associate serving customers in Pennsylvania, Delaware and Southern New Jersey. Email Annie.
- Jason Dovel began his career as a radio news reporter in 1990, later becoming director of audiovisual services for a corporate training center. For seven years, he was a sales consultant with two audiovisual integration companies in the Washington, D.C. market. Prior to joining NewComm in 2007, Jason did consulting work for a major IT solutions provider to the Federal Government. Email Jason.
- Alex Schouten works in sales and dealer communication for NewComm Technologies, and also manages NewComm Distributing, a sister company of NewComm Technologies, distributing ClearOne, Comrex, Intelix, Liberty AV, PDR Mounts, and Tripp-Lite products to all 50 states. Email Alex.
- Susan Sheaffer started with NewComm Technologies in June of 2007. In her position as office manager, her time is split between NewComm Technologies and NewComm Distributing. Her responsibilities include interfacing with customers, dealers and manufacturers. She assists with pricing and availability issues, order entry, administration and even handles the shipping on occasion. Email Susan.
